Nouns

Words that name people, places, things, or ideas.

Verbs

Words that show action or state of being.

  • "run" - action
  • "is" - state
  • "become" - change

Adjectives

Words that describe nouns.

  • "powerful" - describes ability

Sentence Structure

Basic Sentence Patterns

Subject + Verb

Examples:

  • "Heroes fight."
  • "She runs."

Subject + Verb + Object

Examples:

  • "Heroes save people."
  • "Villains attack cities."

Subject + Verb + Adjective

Examples:

  • "He becomes strong."
  • "The story feels exciting."

Verb Tenses

Present Tense

Simple Present

Usage: Regular actions, facts

  • "Heroes protect the city."
  • "She trains every day."

Present Continuous

Usage: Actions happening now

  • "He is fighting the villain."
  • "They are running away."

Past Tense

Simple Past

Usage: Completed actions
